Description:

The Corona College Hairstylist program prepares students for the challenges in the popular and expanding field of beauty and personal care development. Training revolves around the fundamental skills of hairstyling, esthetics, customer service, computers skills, workplace correspondence, quality control, entrepreneurship, job search and workplace skills. This is an apprenticeship trade program, and the course hours are credited to the overall hours required to reach journeyperson status under the Inter-provincial Red Seal Certification.

Corona College 's Hairstylist program has been fully accredited by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board. Students have access to a fully functional, modern hairstyling salon where they learn, practice, and complete their practical applications. As they advance in their program, they also offer client services to the public.

    Students applying for admission into programs at Corona College must have a Provincial High School Graduation Diploma with an overall 60% average. Persons 19 years of age and older may be accepted under our Mature Student Policy, where an assessment would be completed. A medical certificate completed by a qualified medical doctor is required prior to commencing classes.
